Issue/Introduction

This document guides you through the process of troubleshooting issues with the VMware Single Sign On (SSO) service that is included as a part of vCenter Server 5.1. It helps you eliminate the common causes for your problem by verifying the scope of the problem as well as providing information on installation and runtime configuration of the service.

Symptoms:
You see one of these errors:
  • Configuration of SSO service fails
  • Installation of SSO fails
  • Upgrade of SSO fails
  • SSO service fails to start


Environment

VMware vCenter Server 5.1.x

Cause
