vCenter slows down/stops responding when it is added as an endpoint in vRB (2151324)

Symptoms

  • vCenter Server will be slowing down gradually when it is added to vRB as an endpoint. This issue is specific to vRB 7.3 version
  • The issue is primarily seen in large vCenter Server with high churn environment, However it is advised to apply the patch in vRBC system monitoring your vCenter servers. 

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting VMware vRealize Business 7.3. 

To resolve the issue , Apply the patch_7.3.0.14059_6279060.zip.

 To apply the patch, follow the instructions as below: 

  1. Copy the vRB_server_patch_7.3.0.14059_6279060.zip to VRB VA from below location:


  2. Run the below command to Unzip the zip file: 

    unzip vRB_server_patch_7.3.0.14059_6279060.zip


  3. Run the command:

    cd vRB_server_patch_7.3.0.14059_6279060

  4. Run the apply-hot-patch script using the following command. This will apply the patch

    sh apply-hot-patch.sh        

  5. After applying the patch wait for all the services to come up by running command:

     monit summary
