PCoIP secure gateway service fails post Horizon 7.2.0 upgrade (2151019)

Symptoms

  • After upgrading to Horizon 7.2.0, PCoIP secure gateway service fails.
  • In the C:\ProgramData\VMware\VDM\logs\PCoIP Secure Gateway , you see entries similar to:

Cause

This issue occurs due to virtual desktop with view agent version 7.1.0.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, perform the below steps:
  1. On Parent image upgrade view agent to version 7.2.0 and take new snapshot 
  2.  Recompose desktop with new Snapshot captured.
  3.  Ensure all desktops in the environment is running at 7.2.0. 

Impact/Risks

Cannot launch PCoIP session.

Additional Information

Restating the connection server may temporarily fix the issue, however to permanently resolve the issue update all the  viewagents to 7.2.0
