Upgrading vCSA 6.5 fails with error: Error attempting Vcintegrity Export file does not exist or is corrupted, abort import (2150982)

Symptoms

  • When you upgarde vCenter Server Appliance 6.5, it fails with the error similar to:

    Error attempting Vcintegrity Export file does not exist or is corrupted, abort import

  • You see the Log similar to:

    ERROR __main__ Upgrade Phase 'vcIntegrity:Import' failed. Exception: Error attempting Vcintegrity Export file does not exist or is corrupted, abort import
    2016-12-20T17:28:40.812Z INFO upgrade.states.component_states vcIntegrity:Import: Traceback (most recent call last):


    Note: The preceding log excerpts are only examples. Date, time, and environmental variables may vary depending on your environment.

Cause

This issue occurs when you import the vSphere Update Manager information which is running on a separate windows machine.

Resolution

To workaround this issue, un-install the vSphere Update Manager and remove the information from MOB.
