Cause

This issue occurs because SNMP trap triggered from vCenter Server configured with Japanese language use multiple Character codes.

SNMP traps are binary and the contents of string fields can be in any code page. If a third-party application  expects a particular code page, it does not decode vCenter Server traps correctly resulting in garbled values.

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting vCenter Server 5.5 ,6.0 and 6.5

Currently, there is no workaround or resolution.
