Solution

Download, compile, and use the OpenSC library with TLSv1.2 and PIV smart card.

1. Install Horizon Client for Linux.
2. Download the OpenSC source from https://github.com/OpenSC/OpenSC.
3. Use the following commands to compile OpenSC source to produce the opensc-pkcs11.so file.
        a. .bootstrap
        b.  ./configure
        c.  make
4. Rename the opensc-pkcs11.so file to libopensc-pkcs11.so.
5. Create a new directory under /usr/lib/vmware/view directory using the following command:

sudo mkdir /usr/lib/vmware/view/pkcs11

6. Copy the libopensc-pkcs11.so file to the new /usr/lib/vmware/view/pkcs11 directory.
