Outstanding IO Requests Setting is not persistent after reboot of ESXi (2150431)

  • 0 Ratings

  • The ESXi storage device settings are not restored after the reboot of the corresponding LUNs presented from EMC ScaleIO.

For example Maximum Outstanding Disk Requests(DSNRO), Queue Full Sample Size, Queue Full Threshold.

In the ESXi, LUNs are discovered and settings are applied to corresponding devices during boot. But in case EMC ScaleIO discovery of LUNs is not guaranteed to happen during boot which might lead to not restoring the previous setting for the storage device.

To workaround the issue, use the following command after ESXi reboot:

#localcli --plugin-dir /usr/lib/vmware/esxcli/int/ boot storage restore --paths
