Controller firmware health check warning if multiple firmware versions are supported (2150398)

  • 0 Ratings

Details

The following health check might report a false warning when multiple supported firmware versions are available for a particular controller: Controller firmware is VMware certified

The vSAN HCL database currently allows only one supported firmware version for each controller type. The controller firmware check might report a warning if the current firmware version does not match the HCL database, even if the firmware is listed in the VMware Compatibility Guide.

Solution

If the firmware is listed in the VMware Compatibility Guide, you can ignore this warning. If you are running vSAN 6.6 or later, you can add this health check into the silent list to suppress the warning.
