Purpose

This article describes the functionality and limitations of My VMware for customers with AirWatch Products. This article and its content may not be fully relevant to customers that do not have AirWatch Products

Resolution

Note:
  • If you have purchased AirWatch licenses before or are planning to purchase AirWatch licenses and support
    • As of September 2017 you can manage your AirWatch licenses, support contracts and user permissions on My VMware Portal
    • You can now access myAirWatch account using your My VMware credentials
    • For more details on accessing myAirWatch Support see article (2151511)
    • For more details on accessing My VMware Support see article (2006985)
  • Products used through subscription model will continue to be managed exclusively through myAirWatch at this time
  • In order to access support in myAirWatch, you will need to have both File SR Permission in My VMware and the necessary permission in myAirWatch

If you are new to My VMware:

How to confirm / create a My VMware profile
  • Go to the My VMware page and log in.  
  • Once you have confirmed / created your profile and have the appropriate permissions assigned by your Super User for the account, you can continue to file Support Requests in myAirWatch; your myAirWatch authentication will occur automatically after this point. 

If you have questions or issues on Entitlement Accounts containing your new AirWatch License Keys, please refer to the following:
  • The License keys on My VMware portal for AirWatch products are for compliance only and cannot be used in the software
  • If you have questions on My VMware or want to migrate license or data, please refer to: My VMware articles (2020793)

If you cannot file Support Request in myAirWatch for AirWatch Products and Services, please check the following:
  • You can login to My VMware
  • You have access to the Entitlement Account with the folder containing the AirWatch Products and have "File Support Request" permission on that folder or the "Home" folder
  • AirWatch products have Active Support Contract
  • You can login to myAirWatch using My VMware credentials
  • Navigate to Support > Get Help in My AirWatch
