"Too many IOs are handled by a vSCSI adapter" error in vSAN performance statastic (2150021)

  • 0 Ratings

In vSAN performance statistics, you see the error:

"Too many IOs are handled by a vSCSI adapter."

This issue occurs because VSCSI adapter is handling more IOPs than that desired for the best performance.

Note: VMware recommends to use the PVSCSI adapter for the best performance.

For more information on using a PVSCSI adapter in your configuration, see Configuring disks to use VMware Paravirtual SCSI (PVSCSI) adapters (1010398).  Each VM can have a maximum of 4 VSCSI adapters.

To resolve this issue, distribute all virtual disks (VMDKs) evenly across the four VSCSI adapters.
