VMware Identity Manager - "404 Page Not Found" errors after configuring a clustered envrionment. (2149675)

  • Service does not start up or takes very long to start. 
  • Messaging (RabbitMQ) is done correctly.
  • On the browser, you see error similar to:

    404 Page Not Found


This issue occurs when iptables are not opened for internal ports like 40002, 40003, 5700, 4369.

To check the ports opened, run command: 

iptables -L -n


NoteThe fix is applicable only for 2.8 and 2.8.1 versions. 

To resolve this issue, perform the below steps on each appliance:

  1. Take a backup of original updateiptables.hzn file:

    cp /usr/local/horizon/scripts/updateiptables.hzn  /usr/local/horizon/scripts/updateiptables_bak.hzn

  2. Replace updateiptables.hzn file with the new file attached:

     cp updateiptables.hzn  /usr/local/horizon/scripts/

  3. Reboot the appliance.
