"sfcb-smx: wantCoreDump:sfcb-smx signal:6 exitCode:0 coredump:enabled" error on ESXi 6.5 hosts (2148526)

Symptoms

  • The sfcb-smx process fails in ESXi 6.5 host and creates zdump files in /var/core/.
  • In /var/run/log/hostd.log, you see messages similar to:

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting ESXi 6.5.

Currently, there is no resolution or workaround.
