VMware Integrated OpenStack new instance fail to get DHCP when using a new NSX Edge (2148198)

  • 0 Ratings

  • After deploying a new instance, the instance does not get a DHCP lease. The NSX edge backing up the network is a newly deployed NSX Edge.
  • NSX use Link Aggregation Group (LAG) as an uplink.

By default, a new NSX Edge configures a port group as an uplink, and the other portgroup as standby. However, when configuring Link Aggregation (LAG)  as uplink, this is ignored in the NSX Edge configuration and instead the port group is set as disabled.

Future releases of Vmware Integrated Openstack will be able to update the NSX Edge configuration to set the LAG interface as active and move all the empty portgroup as disabled.

To work around this issue, edit your edge and change this manually.
