Summaries and Symptoms

This patch updates the  esx-base  VIB to resolve the following issues:

  • The Likewise Kerberos package is updated to version 1.14.
  • The OpenSSL is updated to version openssl-1.0.2j.
  • The PAM package is updated to version 1.3.0.
  • The libPNG library is updated to libpng-1.6.26.
  • The NTP package is updated to version 4.2.8p9.
  • The ESXi userworld libcurl library is updated to libcurl- 7.51.0.

Patch Download and Installation

ESXi hosts can be updated by manually downloading the patch ZIP file from the  VMware download page  and installing the VIB by using the  esxcli software vib  command. Additionally, the system can be updated using the image profile and the  esxcli software profile  command.
