This article provides steps to change the pDRS provider of a vSphere 6.5 or higher instance.

Changing the pDRS provider of a vSphere 6.5 or higher instance results in a complete changeover of pDRS data.
For example:

If vRealize Operations Manager instance A is the pDRS provider for a vSphere 6.5 or higher instance and has 60 days worth of vSphere data, and the pDRS provider is switched to vRealize Operations Manager instance B that only has 20 days worth of vSphere data, the results in pDRS provider backed with 20 days of data.

To change the pDRS provider of a vSphere 6.5 or higher instance:

  1. Log in to the new instance of the vRealize Operations Manager product UI as admin user.
  2. Navigate to Administration > Solutions.
  3. Select the VMware vSphere solution.
  4. click Configure.
  5. Select or create the VMware vSphere adapter instance you want to enable pDRS data on.
  6. Expand the Advanced Setting drop down.
  7. Set the value of Provide data to vSphere Predictive DRS to true.
  8. A confirmation window appears with the message:

This vCenter is already being provided predictive DRS data from another instance of vRealize Operations.
By clicking yes, the original vRealize Operations will stop providing data, and the current vRealize Operations will start providing data to vCenter.
    Do you want to continue?

  9. Click Yes.
  10. Click Save Settings.
