Resolution

To resolve this issue, manually remove the Plug-in file from vRealize Operations Manager.

  1. Log in to the Master node as root with SSH  or Console.
  2. Change to the /usr/lib/vmware-vcops/user/plugins/inbound/agent_adapter/conf/plugins/agent_plugins directory.
  3. Note the name of the Plug-in you want to remove

    For Example:
mssql-plugin is the name of the Microsoft SQL Server Plug-in for the End Point Operations agent.

  4. Run the command to delete the files associated with the Plug-in you want to remove.

    rm plug-in_name*

Note: Replace plug-in_name with the name noted in step 3.

    For Example: rm mssql-plugin*

  5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 for all other nodes in the vRealize Operations Manager cluster.
  6. Log in to the Admin UI and take the cluster offline, then bring it back online.
  7. Log in to the Product UI as admin.
  8. Navigate to Content > Plug-ins.
  9. Select the Plug-in deleted in step 4.
  10. Click the gear icon and select Disable.
