Setting the RDS Host Operating System Version (2146850)

Horizon Administrator incorrectly shows Windows Server 10 as the RDS host for a Windows Server 2016 RDS host.

This problem occurs because the value of the operating system registered in Horizon Connection Server LDAP is 11, which is the value for Windows Server 10. To enable Horizon Administrator to display the correct version of the RDS host, set pae-OSVersion = 12 in the Horizon Connection Server ADAM database using ADAM ADSI Edit.

Complete the following steps to set the RDS host operating system version:

1. Connect to the Horizon Connection Server ADAM database using ADAM ADSI Edit. For more information, see the VMware Knowledge Base article (2012377).

2. Click on "OU=Servers".

3. In the right-pane select the "pae-PM" object that corresponds to the  RDS Host, then right-click and open "Properties."

4. In the Attribute Editor change the value of the "pae-OSVersion" attribute from "11" to "12".

5. Click OK.
