vSphere 6.0 Hardening content is not available after upgrading to vRealize Operations Manager 6.3 (2146835)

Purpose

After upgrading to vRealize Operations Manager 6.3 the vSphere 6.0, Hardening content is not available.

Cause

During the application upgrade to vRealize Operation Manager 6.3, the Reset out of the boxcontent option was not checked, resulting in the Policy Libraries not getting updated to include the vSphere 6.0 Hardening content.

Resolution

To resolve this issue the default content will need to be reset or reinstalled.

 If you upgraded from vRealize Operations Manager 6.2.1:

  1. Log in to the vRealize Operations Manager UI as admin.
  2. Navigate to Administration > Solutions.
  3. Select the VMware vSphere Solution and click Configure.
  4. Click the Reset Default Content icon at the top of the window.
  5. Click the box to confirm that you understand the changes that will be made, then click OK.
  6. Wait for the solution installation to complete.
The default content will be reset and the vSphere 6.0 Hardening content will now be available in the Policy Library.
 

If you upgraded from any version before vRealize Operations Manager 6.2.1:

Reinstall the application PAK file using the Reset Default Content option. For more information, see 
Replacing or repairing VMware vSphere solution dashboards in VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.x.

Additional Information

The same steps can be used to reset any default content included with the VMware vSphere Solution; including Alert Definitions, Symptoms, Recommendations, Policy Definitions, Views, Dashboards, Widgets, and Reports.
