Language Editions

By default, View Administrator (also known as Horizon Administrator) displays the checkbox Remember user name on the login screen. The administrator can check this box to have View Administrator fill in the User name field automatically for subsequent logins. You can disable this feature by editing an attribute in LDAP. The checkbox will not be displayed and View Administrator will not remember the login name.

Perform the following steps:

1. Start the ADSI Edit utility on the View Connection Server.
2. Select the menu option Action > Connect to.
3. In the Select or type a Distinguished Name or Naming Context text box, type the following distinguished name:
        DC=vdi, DC=vmware, DC=int
4. In the Computer pane, select or type localhost:389 or the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the Connection Server followed by port 389.
5. Click OK.
6. Navigate to OU=Properties > OU=Global.
7. Double-click CN=Common.
8. Edit the pae-NameValuePair attribute.
9. Add the value cs-enableAdminUIUsernameCaching=0 to disable the feature that remembers the administrator's login name. The default value is cs-enableAdminUIUsernameCaching=1, in which case a checkbox is displayed that allows the administrator to choose whether to remember the login name.

The new setting takes effect immediately. You do not need to restart the View Connection Server service. This setting is supported in Horizon 7 version 7.0.1 and later, and Horizon 6 version 6.2.3 and later.
