VMware vCenter Server Appliance incorrectly reports SSO as not initialized in the Virtual Appliance Management Interface (2140849)

Symptoms

When using vCenter Server Appliance connected to an external Platform Service Controller, you experience these symptoms:
  • Viewing the Summary tab on the Platform Service Controller displays the Single Sign-On as Running.
  • Viewing the Summary tab on the vCenter Server Appliance displays as SSO Not Initialized.

Resolution

This is an expected behavior as the vCenter Server Appliance Virtual Appliance Management Interface (VAMI) only displays the status of a local Platform Service Controller node.
