Requesting a published XaaS blueprint in vRA 7.0.x fails with the error: "Failed to retrieve form from provider" (2140539)

  • Requesting a published XaaS blueprint in VMware vRealize Automation 7.0.x fails.
  • You see the error:

    Failed to retrieve form from provider

  • In the catalina.out log file, you see entries similar to:

    vcac:[component="cafe:advanced-designer" priority="INFO" thread="tomcat-http--38" tenant="vsphere.local" context="" token=""] com.vmware.vcac.designer.service.vco.VcoSessionManager.lookupEmbeddedVco:482 - More than one default vCO servers are registered. Picking the first one
    vcac:[component="cafe:advanced-designer" priority="WARN" thread="tomcat-http--38" tenant="vsphere.local" context="" token=""] - Error making request to vCO. Reason: 404 Not Found


This issue occurs when more than one VMware vRealize Orchestrator instance is configured for different tenants.


This issue is resolved in vRealize Automation 7.0.1, available at VMware Downloads.
To work around this issue if you do not want to upgrade, configure a single VMware vRealize Orchestrator instance for all tenants.
