Hot fix (HP2- for VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.0.1 (2116366)

  • 2 Ratings

After installing or upgrading to VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.0.1, you may experience these issues:
  • Combined metric graphs do not show a resource name.
  • If an Object List widget is a providing widget and is collapsed and configured for Auto Select First Row, it does not interact with receiving widgets.
  • Datastore clusters that exist in a folder are not visible in the vRealize Operations Manager inventory.
  • A Health Chart widget that is configured to automatically refresh Health status charts in ascending or descending order, does not consistently reorder charts correctly.

To address these problems, a hot fix is available.  In addition, this hot fix addresses the issues documented in KB 2110330.
  • If you have already applied the hot fix documented in KB 2110330, apply this hot fix to address the issues listed in this KB.
  • If you have not applied the hot fix documented in KB 2110330, apply this single hot fix to address all issues.
  • This hot fix supersedes vRealize_Operations_Manager_HP2- If you have already applied vRealize_Operations_Manager_HP2-, apply this hot fix to avoid problems with the upgrade to version 6.0.2.
  • You must have installed or upgraded to vRealize Operations manager version 6.0.1 GA to apply any hot fix. Do not apply this hot fix to vRealize Operations Manager 6.0.0.

To install the hot fix on either the vApp or Installable version:
  1. Download the PAK file: vRealize_Operations_Manager_HP2-

Note: The .pak file is available from VMware downloads.

  2. On your existing vRealize Operations Manager cluster, log in to the master node administrator interface.

  3. On the left, click Software Update.
  4. Click Install a Software Update.
  5. Follow the wizard to locate and install your downloaded PAK file.

Note: Do not refresh the screen during the installation. While the installation is in progress, the administrator interface logs you out.

  6. Log back in to the master node administrator interface. The main Status and Troubleshooting page of the administrator interface appears, and the cluster goes online automatically. The status page also displays the Bring Online button, but do not click the button.
  7. If the browser page does not refresh automatically, refresh the page. The cluster status changes to Going Online. When the cluster status changes to Online, the upgrade is complete. The version number is unchanged.
  8. On the left, click Software Update.
  9. Verify that these information appears for the update installed:

Name: vRealize Operations Manager Enterprise Hot Patch
Description: Upgrade vRealize Operations Manager Enterprise hot patch containing delta changes of binary
    Version: 6.0.1.

If the update does not appear, wait a few minutes and refresh the page in your browser.
