Enabling SSH access in vRealize Operations Manager 6.x (2100515)

Purpose

Steps to enable SSH on vRealize Operations Manager 6.x appliance.

Resolution

To enable SSH on the VMware vRealize Operations Manager.

  1. Log in to the vRealize Operations Manager virtual machine console as root using ALT-F1.

    Note
    : By default there is no root password configured.


  2. Start the SSH service by running the command:

    service sshd start

  3. To configure SSH to start automatically run this command:

    chkconfig sshd on
