Creating a pool in VMware Horizon Cloud with Hosted Infrastructure or Horizon DaaS fails with the error: DaaSAgent message - Bad domain info returned (2100287)

  • 0 Ratings

  • Creating a pool in VMware Horizon Cloud with Hosted Infrastructure (formerly known as VMware Horizon Air Cloud-Hosted) or Horizon DaaS fails.
  • You see the error:

    DaaSAgent - Bad domain info returned. Required field/s in domain information is/are empty

This issue occurs when the local administrator account name for the gold pattern used to create pool is missing in the tenant FDB pattern table.

To resolve this issue:
  • Run this command and verify that the column username is blank and make note of the data in pattern_id:

    Select * from pattern where pattern_name='gold_pattern_name' and deleted ='f';

  • If the username is not blank then this is not the problem and you must update pattern set username by running this command:

    Update pattern set username='local_desktop_admin_account_username' where pattern_id='pattern_id_from_previous_query'

    For example:

    Update pattern set username='administrator' where pattern_id='G.1001.5';
