Reconnecting to the VDI desktop with PCoIP displays a black screen (2073945)

  • Reconnecting to a disconnected PCoIP View connection fails with a black screen.
  • In the Agent log, you may see entries similar to:

    YYYY-MM-DD T TIME.366+09:00 INFO (1778-06B0) <1712> [pcoip_mfw] Program 'pcoip_server_win32 - PCoIP Server' started, version=3,12,0,18151:soft_pcoip_rc_3_12, pid=0x1778, buildtype=release, usethread=0, closeafterwrite=0

    Followed by:

    YYYY-MM-DD T TIME.491+09:00 ERROR (0498-022C) <556> [wsnm_desktop] PCoIPCnx::SessionSwitch: session switch failure

  • This issue is observed when using Horizon View Blast session.


To resolve this issue, install the Microsoft Hotfixes available at the Microsoft Knowledge Base, 2775511 and 2661332.
