Unity Touch feature is not active in VMware Horizon View (2069383)

Symptoms

  • When connecting from a mobile client, the Unity Touch feature is not active.
  • The PC-over-IP (PCoIP) virtual channel is disabled causing Unity Touch to fail.

Cause

This issue occurs if the PCoIP virtual channel is disabled.

Resolution

To enable the PCoIP virtual channel:
  1. Click Start > Run, type regedit, and click OK. The Registry Editor window opens.
  2. Locate the pcoip.enable_vchan registry key. This registry key is located:

    Windows 64-bit endash HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Policies\Teradici\PCoIP\pcoip_admin_defaults\
    For Windows 32-bit endash HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Teradici\PCoIP\pcoip_admin_defaults\


  3. Modify the registry key value to 1 to enable the virtual channel.
  4. Restart the virtual machine and test the Unity Touch feature.
