In VMware Service Manager, text entered in Actions & Solutions field disappears after Deferring, Saving, or Submitting (2039743)

In VMware Service Manager 7.x, 8.x, and 9.x, text that is entered in the Actions & Solutions field is erased after a call or request is deferred or saved.


VMware Service Manager is working as intended.

Text that is entered into the Actions & Solution field is moved to the History page to make room for new actions and solutions.

To view information that has already been entered into the Actions & Solution field, see the call history. You can access call history using any one of the following methods:
  • Click the History tab (beside the Actions & Solutions tab)
  • Click View Full History at the top of the call details or request/task details screen
  • From the menu on the left, under Details, click History.
