  • Events appear longer than the Expire Event Messages interval that is specified in System Settings.
  • Timeouts appear for the EVENTVIEWER EXPIRE EVENTS query in the Event Logs.
  • The IN_EVENT_VIEWER table in the database may become large or cause performance problems.
  • Activity logs and Event logs display a history longer than what is specified in System Settings.

The EVENTVIEWER EXPIRE EVENTS query deletes items in the IN_EVENT_VIEWER table that are older than the specified time in the Expire Event Messages interval that is configured in System Administration > System > System Settings.
If this fails or times out, there is no recheck of this until the next interval, possibly causing further delays.
