The navigation tree in vRealize Operations Manager does not contain any entries (2019004)

  • The navigation tree in the vRealize Operations Manager (formerly known as vCenter Operations Manager) management page is empty
  • The navigation tree in vRealize Operations Manager does not show any inventory
  • You are able to view all objects in the Operations tab
  • Hovering over the Datacenter object shows Restricted, though the current use has the Administrator role within vCenter Server


 This issue occurs if you have renamed an object from within the vCenter Server Inventory view. 


This is a known issue in vRealize Operations Manager (formerly known as vCenter Operations Manager) 5.0.
This issue is resolved in vRealize Operations Manager 5.0.1. To download vRealize Operations Manager 5.0.1, see the VMware Download Center.
To work around this issue when you do not want to upgrade, log in to vRealize Operations Manager (formerly known as vCenter Operations Manager) using the default Admin account. You should now be able to view the entire inventory.
