Form names are not migrated correctly after upgrading from Service Manager 8.x to 9.x (2018424)

After upgrading from Service Manager 8.x to 9.x, you experience these symptoms:

  • When you open a form in Designer, a blank editing screen is displayed and the application freezes
  • The name of the form in the SU_ENTITY_FORM table is not migrated to the new naming convention in Service Manager 9.x
  • In the SU_ENTITY_FORM table, the FILE_NAME values are InAssetForm and InUserForm, whereas the values should be InCMDBForm and InPersonForm respectively.


VMware is aware of this issue.
A resolution for this issue is being evaluated for inclusion in a future release.
Currently, there is no workaround for this issue.
