This article provides information about the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Partner Activation Code (PAC) portal and deploying the VMware licenses generated using that portal.

To activate an OEM PAC:
  1. Log in to the OEM portal. For more information, see How to activate VMware Partner Activation Codes (PAC) (2014281) and  OEM Portal Help

: If you have not registered for a profile, you must create one. For more information, see How to create a My VMware profile (2007005)

  2. Enter the PAC and any applicable comments.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. On the next page, select the account to be used for this purchase.

If the account is not listed in the dropdown, click Add Account to create a new account. If you choose to create a new account, you are prompted to go through that process.

If you choose an existing entitlement account, the next screen verifies the account and selects which address you want to associate with this order. You also have the option to enter a new address by filling in the necessary fields. Click Continue.
  5. Verify the details on the Confirmation page, including the PAC and subscription dates. Click Continue to complete the process.
  6. If the details of PAC does not match with the product that you have purchased through OEM partner, please do not continue further with the process and reach out to your OEM partner to procure correct PAC.
  7. PAC once redeemed cannot be corrected or replaced directly by VMware and you will have to work with your applicable Partner to have the same replaced.

  • You are given the option to deploy the entitlements either to your personal or organization account. Choose the appropriate option.
  • If you are a new user or you are not associated with any account, you can provide new address details and an option to select for Person Use or Organization. Based on the selection, the system creates a Personal account (if none exists) or creates an Organization account after conducting the necessary validations.
  • From here, you are brought to the Order Confirmation page to finish the activation process.
You will receive an order/license email confirmation that includes the product serial number(s) and download link. You will also receive a second email confirmation that includes any support or subscription information (if applicable).
