Multi-monitor layouts are reset when the View Client is disconnected from a virtual machine (2006075)
- When using multiple monitors, customizations to the View desktop layout are reset on disconnect.
- When you disconnect from and reconnect to the session, windows may resize smaller and will be located on top of each other in the upper left corner of your primary monitor.
- When you move icons and windows to the secondary monitor, they return to the primary monitor when you disconnect from the virtual machine.
- This issue only affects PCoIP sessions in Windows 7, Vista, and XP. RDP sessions preserve the multi-monitor layout.
In Windows Vista and Windows 7, the PCoIP server detaches the SVGA driver, which causes the layout to be identified as a single monitor.
In Windows XP, this issue is caused by the way Windows switches between a terminal session and console session from the login UI to the desktop session.
This is a known issue affecting Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows Vista.
Currently, there is no resolution or workaround for Windows XP.
To work around this issue in Windows 7 or Windows Vista:
Connect to the virtual machines using the RDP protocol.
