You cannot delete an empty shopping cart on Customer Portal in VMware Service Manager 9.0 (2005916)

  • You cannot delete an empty shopping cart on Customer Portal.
  • The Delete Order button is missing from an empty Service Catalog shopping cart
  • In the Customer Portal, under Service Orders, the empty cart shows as an unsubmitted order.


You must have at least one item in the cart for the Delete Order button to be active. This issue occurs if you click Remove next to all items in the shopping cart.


This is a known issue. When this issue is resolved, this article will be updated.
To work around this issue, add any one item, then click Delete Order (not Remove) to delete the shopping cart.
