View Composer fails with the error: Disk management service is not available (2002051)

  • 12 Ratings

This issue may be caused by:
  • The SVI attempting to start Vmware Universal File Access service (UFA) and fails.
  • The UFA service fails to report its status in time to the Service Control Manager. If this reaches a timeout for SVI operation, the composer task fails.

This issue is resolved in VMware View 5.1, available at VMware Download Center. For more information, see VMware View 5.1 Release Notes.
To resolve this issue in earlier releases, verify that the UFA service is running. If it is stopped, restart the service.
