Impact

You are unable to connect a virtual NIC to a vDS group. 

Resolution

This issue occurs if there are not enough ports in the vDS port group.
 
To resolve this issue, perform one of these options:
  • Increase the number of ports in the port group. To increase the number of ports in the port group:
    1. Click Inventory > Networking.
    2. Click + to expand the dvSwitch.
    3. Right-click the port group and choose Edit Settings.
    4. Increase the number of the ports.

  • Disconnect existing ports to make them free for use by other virtual NICs.
