Unable to edit vRealize Operations Integration Configuration in Log Insight (2147200)

  • Unable to edit vRealize Operations integration configuration in Log Insight.
  • Changes made to the vRealize Operations Integration configuration are not successfully saved.


To resolve this issue, modify the vRealize LogInsight config file.

In Log Insight 2.5.x  and earlier  versions:

  1. Log in to the vRealize Operations Manager master node as root through SSH or Console.
  2. Run this command to stop the loginsight service:

    service loginsight stop

  3. Backup the loginsight-config.xml* files using this command:

    cp /storage/core/loginsight/config/loginsight-config.xml* /tmp

  4. Open the /storage/core/loginsight/config/loginsight-config.xml* using a text editor

    Note: Replace loginsight-config.xml* with the number of the last updated loginsight-config.xml file.

  5. Delete the values between <vcops> </vcops>.
  6. Run this command to start the loginsight service:

    service loginsight start

In Log Insight 3.0 and later versions:

  1. Log in to the vRealize Log Insight config UI as admin using the URL https://LogInsight_Address/internal/config.

    Note: Replace LogInsight_Address with the address of the Log Insight instance.

    An XML representation of the non-default options is displayed.

  2. Delete the values between <vcops> </vcops>.

    Note: You can use your browser's find function to assist in finding the code.

  3. Click Save.
