Note: The VIBs and their versions listed in a compliance check error will be specific to your environment and the image that you are using to check compliance

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 7.0.x

Cause

This issue occurs when the lifecycle manager image contains VIBs that have older versions than the VIBs that are currently installed on the host

Resolution

To resolve this issue,
  1. Create a Lifecycle Manager image.
  2. Include VIBs in the image that have versions equal to or higher than the versions of the VIBs listed in the compliance check error.
If you encounter this issue when checking compliance of an ESXi host using a VMware stock image, create a new Lifecycle Manager image that includes the VMware stock image and any necessary vendor addons.

Note: Vendor addons may contain newer versions of OEM VIBs that are not included in the VMware stock image

     3. Use the new image to upgrade the host
