Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

Issue manifested in FCD workflow with Nutanix array. FCD details were missing in the catalog file, "shard.dat".

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 7.x
VMware vSphere ESXi 6.0
VMware vSphere ESXi 8.0
VMware vSphere ESXi 6.5
VMware vSphere ESXi 6.7

Cause

nfsclient needs file size to do append file operation. For this nfsclient relies on file attributes of LOOKUP response.
Though recommended, some file servers may choose not to return file attributes as part of LOOKUP.
Nutanix is not returning file attributes as part of LOOKUP causing the issue to happen.

Resolution

Currently there is no resolution. This will be fixed in the future release.
