Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
When running VMware Workstation on a Windows 10 or Windows 11 host, attempting to reboot or hibernate the host OS may cause a BSOD.

"Upon reboot, you may see 0x1E_c0000005_R_STACKPTR_ERROR_nt!RtlXSaveS error message under Application tab in event viewer."

Environment

VMware Workstation Pro 15.x (Windows)
VMware Workstation Pro 16.x (Windows)

Resolution

This issue has been resolved in VMware Workstation 15.5.7 and Workstation 16.1.
