Symptoms:

• For SDDC Adapter instances, the alert Objects are not receiving data from adapter instance is triggered and cancelled instantly. (i.e., start time and cancel time will be the same).

This is a known issue with VMware Aria Operations (formerly known as vRealize Operations).
There is currently no resolution.  Please use the steps detailed in the workaround section.

Workaround:
As the alert is currently not working as expected, it is recommended to disable this alert in the policy.
If there is any valid issue with the adapter instance, you will still be notified with the alert Adapter instance is not receiving data.

How to disable this alert:

1. Open the VMware Aria Operations UI and browse to Administration > Policies.
2. Select the Active policy.
3. Click Edit Policy, then click Alerts and Symptoms.
4. Filter for the alert, Objects are not receiving data from adapter instance.
5. Change the State from Enabled to Disabled.
6. Click Save to finish.
