Commvault Version 11, Service Pack 16 and later, provides the following features:
Agentless Backups and restores using vStorage APIs for Data Protection (VADP)
Changed block tracking (CBT)
Full, incremental, differential, and synthetic full backups
Restores of full virtual machines, VMDKs (alone or attaching to a virtual machine), and guest files and folders
VM conversion from VMware to Amazon
Automatic Protection for all virtual machines

You can deploy Commvault to protect workloads running in VMware vCloud Director. The Commvault components can be physical, virtual, or mixed. The Commvault VSA communicates directly with the VMware vCloud Director environment to discover, protect, and restore virtual machines which reside on the physical ESXi infrastructure which is part of the vCD environment.
