Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
After a DHCP server was attached to a LogicalSwitch (or a Loadbalancer was created/updated), you see these symptoms:
  • The Loadbalancer fails.
  • The DHCP server fails.
  • If the DHCP server configuration and Loadbalancer configuration are checked, duplicated IP addresses can be found between the DHCP server IP and Loadbalancer virtual-server-IP or SNAT-pool IP(s).

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center 2.x
VMware NSX-T Data Center

Cause

This issue occurs due to an IP conflict which causes the DHCP or Loadbalancer traffic not able to reach the DHCP server or the Loadbalancer server.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, update the impacted DHCP server IP or Loadbalancer virtual-server-IP or SNAT-pool IP addresses with different IP addresses to avoid the IP conflict.
