Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

You see an error similar to the following when deploying pods with volumes in Enterprise PKS: 

Warning FailedAttachVolume 10m attachdetach-controller Multi-Attach error for volume "<volume id>" Volume is already exclusively attached to one node and can't be attached to another


Environment

VMware PKS 1.x

Cause

When the Enterprise PKS cluster is having connection issues to vCenter Server, the volume cannot be added to the worker nodes properly, resulting in the noted error.

Resolution

Check the network connection between vCenter Server and the Enterprise PKS deployment and correct any firewalls blocking ports or intermittent connection issues.
