Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • A Horizon and VI workload domain has been created and the VI workload domain was deleted.
  • The Horizon workload domain list is empty.
  • You see messages similar to the following in the /var/log/vmware/vcf/operationsmanager/operationsmanager.log file on the SDDC Manager VM:

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 3.7.x

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting VMware Cloud Foundation 3.7. There is currently no resolution.

Workaround:
Use the following steps to workaround this issue:
  1. SSH to the SDDC Manager VM as the vcf user.
  2. Issue the following command to get the id value for the Horizon workload domain:
psql -h /home/postgresql -U solutionsmanager -c "select id from vdi"
  1. Issue a command similar to the following to update SDDC Manager such that the Horizon workload domain will be shown in the UI:

curl -X DELETE localhost/solutions/vdi-domains/resource-vcenter/<vdi id >?vc-fqdn=<VC name>

Note: Replace <vdi id> with the id value returned in Step 2 and replace <VC name> with the name of the vCenter Server associated with the Horizon instance (as displayed in the Horizon UI).

Note: Wait about five minutes and refresh the workload domain list in the SDDC Manager UI and the Horizon workload domain should be present.
