For details on configuring vRealize Operations Manager after a clean installation of VMware Validated Design, see the VMware Validated Design 4.3 Monitoring and Alerting documentation.
Before you upgrade to version 4.3, 5.0.x, or 5.1 of VMware Validated Design, run the Upgrade Assessment Tool for vRealize Operations Manager. The tool generates a report about the impact on your environment and recommends replacements so that you can evaluate and reduce this impact on alerts and dashboards.
Before you upgrade to vRealize Operations Manager 6.7, run the Upgrade Assessment Tool 6.7. See VMware Knowledge Base article 53545.
Each version of VMware Validated Design has different configuration and metrics of the dashboards in vRealize Operations Manager. In certain cases, you must also modify the widget configuration of the SDDC Overview custom dashboard and certain notifications of SDDC alerts.

vRealize Operations Management Pack for Storage Devices 7.0 is not a continuation of the earlier versions of the management pack. No upgrade path from the adjacent version 6.0.5 to 7.0 of the management pack exists. Hence, providing guidance on the changes in the monitoring configuration in VMware Validated Design 5.0.x, for example, on the changes in the heatmap widgets in the custom SDDC Overview dashboard, is not applicable.
vRealize Operations Manager 7.5 introduces new or updated out-of-the-box dashboards, and dashboards and widgets enhancements.
