Save the Encrypted Virtual Machine password in VMware Fusion in Apple Keychain

Issue/Introduction

We can save the password for an Encrypted Virtual Machine in Apple Keychain Access created in Fusion. You will not be prompted to enter the password to start an Encrypted Virtual Machine.

Environment

VMware Fusion Pro 11.x
VMware Fusion 11.x

Resolution

1. Click on Window from the VMware Fusion menu bar
2. Select Virtual Machine Library from the drop down list
3. Power On or Resume a Encrypted Virtual Machine
4. You will get a prompt to enter the password
5. Check " Remember Password" checkbox to save the password in Apple Keychain Access

Note: You can also save the password to Apple Keychain while encrypting the Virtual Machine for the first time by checking " Remember   Password" checkbox.
