Issue/Introduction

There may be at times on the Cloud Gateway Appliance, linking will fail with error or other miscellaneous errors and support will require Cloud Gateway Appliance logs. 

Example:
!Link Failed with reason: internal system error. Retry

This knowledgebase article will cover on how to properly create and collect the Cloud Gateway Appliance log bundle.

Resolution

  1. Once CGA is deployed, check the support url in the VM console
  2. Go into vCenter, and select the Cloud Gateway Appliance VM
  3. Click "Web Console" (Or VMRC if configured)
  4. In the Console, the support-bundle URL should be https://<cga.ip>:443/appliance/support-bundle 
  5. Open a new tab/window and input the Cloud Gateway Appliance support URL in a web browser and proceed with the download
  6. Once download is complete, please upload to the support case for the VMware support team to further review the logs (Reference article to upload logs via FTP: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2069559)
