Issue/Introduction

To fix the mouse and keyboard issue in virtual machine after upgrading to macOS Mojave 10.14.

Symptoms:
After upgrading host to macOS Mojave 10.14, mouse and keyboard in the virtual machine stop responding.

Environment

VMware Fusion 10.x
VMware Fusion Pro 11.x
VMware Fusion Pro 10.x
VMware Fusion 11.x

Cause

Starting with macOS Mojave 10.14, application needs to be added to the accessibility preferences to enable effective use of input devices.

Resolution

To resolve the issue:
  1. Navigate to System Preferences > Security & Privacy on macOS Mojave 10.14 host.
  2. Under the Privacy tab select Accessibility
  3. Add VMware Fusion into the list that are allowed to control the computer and place a check on it.
