Issue/Introduction
Symptoms:
Upgrading to vCenter Server 6.7 and later fails with the error:
Source vCenter Server has instance(s) of non-VMware Distributed Virtual Switch.
Environment
VMware vCenter Server Appliance 6.7.x VMware vCenter Server 6.7.x VMware vCenter Server 7.0.x
Cause
This is caused by an unsupported distributed switch in the environment such as a Nexus 1000v.
Resolution
To resolve this issue migrate all non-VMware distributed switches to VMware Distributed Switches. The list of Distributed Virtual Switches names that need to be migrated can be found in the vcdb_req.err file located at:
