Issue/Introduction

VMware offered vMSC certification program since vSphere 5.0. Starting February 1st, 2016 VMware stopped accepting vMSC certification requests for new partner solutions. We have since transitioned the program to our PVSP program.

Resolution

Partners developing new vMSC solutions should fill out the PVSP Solution Vetting Questionnaire which can be found at the bottom of the PVSP program page. The VMware vMSC section of the VCG has not been updated after January 31st, 2016.

After January 31st, 2016, the vMSC Program continued to accept any certification request for updates only to previously certified solutions that met the minor re-certification requirements until End of Support Life (EOSL) of the ESXi release against which partner’s VMware vMSC solutions were originally certified (e.g., ESXi 5.0 and 5.5). All new solutions, since January 31st, 2016 have been listed in our PVSP Listing page.

PVSP program provides a scalable opportunity for partners to collaborate with VMware and promote their promising and innovative technologies and solutions without going through a certification process. Under this program, partners verify their product offering using VMware's guidelines, and provide support directly to their customers. For more information about the program, its key benefits, and entry criteria please visit the PVSP program page. A visual overview of the Program Support workflow for solutions listed under PVSP is available in the program page.
